In the New York Times' lawsuit against OpenAI, NYT lawyers spent 150 hours combing through OAI's training data. OpenAI engineers *erased it* and admitted to erasing it. The NYT is now unable to get that data back. This should be a serious scandal.

The irony here is that the reason the AMA is involved in the first place is because of perennial understaffing of CMS. Want the AMA out? You'll need to hire bureaucrats!

It was a treat getting to present a paper at this University of Pennsylvania Law Review symposium about the uses and misuses of history in constitutional interpretation and construction. Thanks to Jack Balkin for including me, and for writing an important book that has sparked so many great discussions.

Remember the group Develop Don't Destroy Brooklyn? Dean Street between Carlton and Vanderbilt avenues hardly looks destroyed, with a Chelsea Piers Fitness, Simo Pizza, Fujian restaurant, 800 apartments (30% of them affordable) and a 60K-sf public park. therealdeal.com/new-york/2024/…
