When the ballot to strike came out my baby had just been born. He's nearly 6 months old now and we are STILL waiting for a credible offer from the government. Come on Steve Barclay Public support is still behind us. We will keep fighting for #fullpayrestoration 💪

It's taken me 9 years to complete psychiatry training. I'm one of the few trainees I know to accept a full-time, substantive, NHS consultant post, and I already have an exit plan if things don't improve in the NHS.

The longest NHS strike in history continues A strike that didn’t need to go ahead But unfortunately our government is belligerent and ideological Doctors have had pay cut by more than 31% in real terms since 2008 All we want, is go back to neutral, net zero to ‘08

U.K. trained doctors, are leaving at rates far greater than any other comparable country. We are losing doctors because the UK government doesn’t value them and we live in a global market where doctors are valued far greater in other countries

Ignoring the actual cash value doctors are paid for a minute, we hear the argument ‘everyone’s pay is down’ Yes- nobody should have their pay cut But we are not in the same boat Doctors have lost far more pay compared to almost all Pay eroded 10x more than the average worker

BBC implicitly accusing @BMA_JuniorDocs of obfuscating facts. An FY1 according to their own article is paid £14/h for base hours between 9-5 as seen on paycheck. Yes there is “extra banding” for weekends, evenings and nights but this is highly variable and not all doctors have

Rishi Sunak has paid more to cover the strikes than Full Pay Restoration. Rishi Sunak by your own logic, are you now fuelling inflation by spending more money than it would have cost to negotiate? Why are you wasting money? Why are you wasting time? Do you hate Britain?

Physician Associates have only two years of training. Their name makes them sound a bit like doctors, but they aren’t. They have not been to medical school. The BMA has grave concerns about their increasing scope of practice, including in GP. #ItsOkToAsk - can I see my GP?

Dr Tanya (@veggieequallife) 's Twitter Profile Photo

To patients, Physician Associates (PAs) did *NOT* go to medical school. They did a 2 year course. PAs are *NOT* medical doctors. Ask to see a medically qualified doctor. To doctors, how is this safe or fair? To ICS, take this misleading and potentially dangerous video down.

Anyone that doesn’t think there is a cynical and planned agenda to normalise lesser trained clinicians at the clear expense of patient safety needs to wake up!

When someone told about the "Dating app guidance for Doctors & Dentists in training" by Health Education England. I thought it was a joke until I realised it wasn't.

Together with the GP registrars committee, we’ve released a new statement setting out our position on MAPs (medical associate professionals). We also cover prescribing guidance for doctors working with these staff. Read it here: bma.org.uk/news-and-opini…
