Thank you to the Kentucky Derby Museum for having us last night for dinner! #NASPEM2024 attendees had so much fun learning about The Kentucky Derby, doing some virtual horse racing, and dabbling in some "betting" on the ponies. ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฝ๐


The final day of #NASPEM2024 began with the inaugural Frank Zaldivar Exercise as Medicine Memorial Lecture. Dr. Naomi Gauthier of Boston Children's presented on the application of exercise science to children and youth with chronic health conditions.


Another fascinating talk given by Dave White at #NASPEM2024. This time, he presents on the evolving paradigm of frailty among youth with chronic disease.


Our final free communication session of #NASPEM2024 begins with a presentation from Dr. Takeshi Tsuda from Nemours Childrenโs Cardiac Center on the physiological characterization of physical deconditioning by CPTE in healthy nonobese adolescents.


Does maximal cardiopulmonary exercise testing data utilizing the Bruce Protocol differ between adolescent and young adult patients? Brittany Holst from Lurie Children's answers that question at #NASPEM2024.


Dr. Brad Robinson from Nemours Childrenโs Cardiac Center presents on how reporting from pediatric exercise labs can be improved utilizing database standardization. #NASPEM2024



Our final free communication presenter at #NASPEM2024 is Dr. Ranjit Philip from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He shares on how pediatric pectus excavatum cases need to consider more than just the Haller Index.


The inaugural Dr. Bruce Alpert Clinical Practice Series served as the final presentations of #NASPEM2024. Our speakers included Dr. William Hardie and Adam_Powell from Cincinnati Children's speaking on Exertional Dyspnea and Syncope, respectively. ๐ฉบ๐ซ๐
