We also wish to extend special congratulations to Bruce Kirkpatrick (Bruce Kirkpatrick)--the winner of our oral presentation contest--and to Duncan Davis-Hall, Dillon Jarell, and Chelsea Garcia (Chelsea Johansen), the winners of our poster presentations contest! (2/2)

🎊 Congratulations to one of our MD-PhD students, Nat Skillin Nathaniel Skillin, for taking first place in the BioFrontiers up-close imaging contest! Nat’s use of novel molecularly aligned materials drives the organization of multicellular structures and creates beautiful images!

Delighted to share our latest in Small — first author Connor, with help from Nathaniel Skillin and Bruce Kirkpatrick, developed a suite of microgels that degrade in response to various chemical and enzymatic cues for cell culture in 2.5D and 3D scaffolds doi.org/10.1002/smll.2… @AdvSciNews

Rapid degradation of microgel populations to tune the void fraction of these granular 3D-printed scaffolds is mesmerizing! Check out our latest publication for more details. Anseth Group R+PM Group Tim White 🦬 Bruce Kirkpatrick

Excited to share my first preprint, the first of many collaborations between the R+PM Group and Anseth Group! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Delighted to share this new work, a fun collaboration with Bruce Kirkpatrick, Nathaniel Skillin, and Niko Di Caprio a long with a host of others! Check out how we remold microgels and observe the effects of their modified curvature on bottom-up cellular assembly 👇

These 3D-printed liquid crystal elastomers developed in the group of Tim White 🦬 contain modified gold nanorods (AuNRs) enabling them to be photothermally actuated. Read more here 👉 ow.ly/A8Zy50QYeHR

love working with my wonderful friend Tayler Hebner! we show how thiol-maleimide hydrogels are radical-labile. we were especially pleased to sneak in an aperiodic monotile-patterned gel…read the paper at onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ad…

🥳🍾 Congratulations to Nathaniel Skillin (co-advised with Tim White 🦬 R+PM Group) for his successful PhD defense on Monday. Nat developed anisotropic liquid crystalline biomaterials for his thesis. We’ll miss him in the lab, but he’ll still be in the area as he finishes his MD!

Thrilled to share my latest work, "Photochemical Control of Network Topology in PEG Hydrogels," now published in Advanced Materials Advanced Portfolio News. In this paper, we show how maleimide±styrene photochemistry affords configurable network architecture! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ad…

Excited to share my latest paper, "In vivo photothermal reconfiguration of liquid crystalline elastomer nanocomposites" out now in Cell Biomaterials! A fantastic collaboration between the R+PM Group and Anseth Group! tinyurl.com/44ca386u
