My parents are finally able to visit from NZ for the first time since the pandemic.. and of course they get covid within days of entering the UK. Still stuck doing video calls but at least we're in the same time zone now??

Our new preprint, & the 1st joint UCL Child Health Kidney Lab/Clatworthy Lab paper, is live! We used 3D imaging & scRNAseq to study human kidney #lymphatics in transplant rejection. Doing this during medical school has been wild, but so worth it 🥳 a brief 🧵👇 1/9 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

It was wonderful presenting at #CBIAS2022 this afternoon, showing off tubenet for 3D vessel segmentation. I can't wait to speak more with the other attendees. Thank you to the organising team for having me!

It's hard not to get emotional after such a long and difficult journey (looking at you covid), but I'm pleased to say I can finally call myself Doctor Holroyd 👩🏻‍🎓🍾 I've got so much love and gratitude to all the people who helped me get to this stage ❤️

Just asked ChatGPT to suggest some references for an abstract I'm writing and it's done a pretty good job! Notably the last suggestion seems to be wrong - I found the chapter and it didn't include a definition for 'data sparsity'

The preprint is out for my paper on tUbe net: a generalisable deep learning tool for 3D vessel segmentation. Check it out, and drop me a line if you want to access the model weights/training data! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

It was brilliant to take part in this event last week. We were able to get hands on with GWAS data and explore how newly-identified genetic risk factors could advance our understanding of ME. Thanks UCL Careers PrecisionLife and ME Research UK for putting on this event! #MECFS

Our latest paper is out on understanding the importance of skeletonisation algorithms in extracting vascular architectures and predicting functional metrics in tissue imaging..... punch line - it's important! doi.org/10.1016/j.comp… [1/2]

Excellently reported piece by Shi En Kim, PhD on researchers living with #LongCovid and how they are coping with it in #academia. Four years on: the career costs for scientists battling long COVID nature.com/articles/d4158…

It was a pleasure to be interviewed for this piece by Shi En Kim, PhD on how long COVID is affecting academic careers. With 1.9 million people suffering from long COVID in the UK alone, its crucial we talk about this openly. nature.com/articles/d4158…

The new and improved model weights for our 3D vessel segmenting model, tUbenet, have now been published on figshare. Use this pre-trained model to label vasculature with little-to-no fine-tuning! Github repo: github.com/natalie11/tUbe… doi.org/10.5522/04/254…
