I made very clear at the despatch box UK House of Commons that we support action but the amendment needed some work to be legally watertight. There was no need for a vote last night and the Government promised we will act in the Lords, the next stage of the Bill Alicia Kearns MP

As I said yesterday we agree with action on this and we will deliver on it as the Bill goes through the House of Lords. I also paid tribute to the excellent cross party campaign by Jess Asato MP and Caroline Dinenage MP something we can all agree on.

Today we marked 97 years since women won the vote on equal terms with men with a commemorative photocall of women MP. Each MP received a personalised sash by RE:MAKE Newport, marking their place in the history of #WomenInParliament.

A wonderful evening at Horse Guards with The Bands of The Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards and Welsh Guards, alongside The Band of The Household Cavalry. I was very proud to see Lord Vernon Coaker taking the salute too! ๐ฌ๐ง

Lovely to visit the The Matchgirls Memorial exhibition in Parliament, telling the story of the women & girls who walked out of the Bryant & May factory in protest at their working conditions, following a great adjournment debate led by Uma Kumaran MP. Well done to everyone involved!
