Today I had a chance to explore the beautiful Tucson campus of University of Arizona - I am falling in with cacti and succulents! The best part of the day was meeting our wonderful colleagues from udallcenter - so looking forward to the next week of working and learning together!

We have had the most incredible day here at University of Arizona. Our amazing colleagues here put together a fantastic forum sharing knowledge on urban greening initiatives from Tucson and Perth, from multiple perspectives. Our UWA Research team learned so much!

We spent an inspiring afternoon at Mission Garden with our new colleagues and friends, learning about ethnobotany, history, culture, local plants, community gardens, agriculture, water use and more. We are so lucky to be here in this living desert cultural landscape.

Calling all Perth and Peel residents! Is your street verge grass, gravel or a garden? We’d like to know! We invite you to complete an online survey - tinyurl.com/perthverges - on how street verges are used. The answers will contribute to a UWA Masters student research project.

Really excited to be part of #TeamHB8 of the Homeward Bound - STEMM women in leadership initiative. Amazing to meet some of the group for the first time yesterday! Might be the first ever two-hour Zoom session which left me feeling more energised than before!
