A great discussion yesterday here at Harvard with the remarkable Natalia Gavrilita (Natalia Gavrilita), former Moldovan Prime Minister, on the future of her country. Natalia was part of my team at the European Commission, when we worked on the 1st EU support package for Moldova.

EU’s #enlargement has always been about peace and stability on the continent and improvement of the lives of all Europeans. The European Commission recommendation to open #accession negotiations with #Moldova 🇲🇩 is an important step in this direction and a great signal for our people!

I talked to @kjmcinnis1 at CSIS about Moldova 🇲🇩, its achievements in the last couple of years, its offer on European 🇪🇺 security, as well as about my personal motivation to transform the country and offer each Moldovan a chance to fulfil his/her potential.

At Yale Jackson School, I talked about how the global standoff between liberal democracies and authoritarianism plays out in Moldova. 🇲🇩 has been a contributor to European security and has taken decisive steps to be part of the free world. Thank you, Alix Zwane, for this conversation!
