Here’s a sneak peek at a full aluminum wing with no spars or ribs, currently being tested at our facility. Designed as a composite replacement, it offers the same or lower weight with better performance. The entire structure is formed from sheet metal, similar to a car door, with

The latest Terraformed Mars (Terraformed Mars) render is finally done. Full global hydrology and climate sim to 114 m resolution. We will push on to the full 7 meter data set. If anyone has 500 TB drives lying around they'd really help!

I’ve created procedural generators of ICs and connectors using geometry nodes. Due to the large number of different packages of ICs and connectors, it might be better to generate their models as and when needed rather than storing an unlimited number of unique 3D models. Also

did not expect one of our suppliers to go “sure man, wanna buy the whole place instead” on another note, who needs lots of space grade solar cells?

the VERY first part from our prototype casting process was a success! (kinda) - Dimensionally Accurate casting - Within 0.02mm tolerance - features greater than 0.7MM This part would be priced at $64, a step change in affordability for complex metal parts.

This is nature's periodic reminder that we are responsible for running arbitrarily operationally effective space programs. The last time something this large didn't miss us by a whisker it ended the dinosaurs. They didn't have a space program. We do, but ours can't even figure

It is to my shame I'm not much of a draftsman. I have a few beautiful drafts of meshing gears made in a mid 1900s high school drafting class. I asked my uncle what it would take to do that today and he said "we don't know how"
