I dare anyone to watch the #Panorama programme about Valdo Calocane and explain why we don’t need better services with staff properly qualified to assess and treat psychosis

Many people with severe mental illness (SMI) don’t get long term care needed- instead discharged 2cope 4themselves. The ‘quiet’ ones suffer silently until something terrible happens. Services must B re-built around the reality of support needed. #mentalillness #continuityofcare

I want to be a GP. Wes Streeting there are NO shortage of Drs wanting this pathway, bottle necks in each specialty.Post Foundation year 2, Drs are facing the reality of unemployment. I was told being a doctor is a job for life. It’s harder for disabled doctors like me.

That's great, but I see bottle neck coming soon. Been there and experienced it! Workforce planning has never been a strong point #NHS

Day 3 of #SASWeek24. Educators We have a SAS Medical School Dean and many undergraduate leads, clinical and educational supervisors of (all stage) residents, TPDs, Associate Deans. But this is not easy or possible for some SAS doctors and that needs to change. #SASsix

If you are considering applying for the AC by portfolio NHSEWTE (so England only) FUNDED program, come along to the engagement event to ask your questions and find out more, as a medical manager or a SAS applicant. Monday 2 December 16:30-17:30 using this link:

Getting a GP appointment when you have mental health problems & are neurodivergent is really difficult. 1. I am not awake at 8am to make an appointment; 2. Pre booked appointments are all booked up; 3. You give up for weeks & months; 4. Cycle of trying to get app starts again

I wonder if we have a data- where these PS/ES were and if trainees are getting high quality supervision they thought they will, how many supervisors are on GMC register, if they are properly remunerated, are TPDs being remunerated as per the silver guide, Until then ...
