Earlier today, I received in audience, the Country Representative of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in Nigeria (UNHCR Nigeria) Mrs, Chansa Kapaya (Chansa Kapaya) alongside Mr. John Mckissick, Deputy Rep(Protection) and Mr. Gilbert Mutai, Asst. Rep, (Operations)

Discussions centered around more collaborative efforts between Refugees, Migrants & IDPs Commission and the UNHCR Nigeria in providing more durable solutions to our Persons of Concern, ensuring capacity trainings for field staff and enhancing the field offices for maximum impacts.

The Southwest Zonal Office of the NCFRMI in collaboration with IOM Nigeria & other partners like Nigeria Immigration Service NAPTIP Nigeria Police Force and Port Health, today, received a total of 72 returnees from Libya. 44 Females (12 children, 3 infants) & 28 Males (15 children, 6 infants)

HM Sadiya Umar Farouq CON held an inter-ministerial meeting on emerging humanitarian issues in the Northeast with the head of agencies under @FMHDSD.

The meeting which had MD @officialNEDC, HFC Refugees, Migrants & IDPs Commission, and DG NAPTIP and representative of DG NEMA Nigeria in attendance reviewed the humanitarian situation in the northeast and determined the next steps in scaling up humanitarian response in crises areas.
