Can we once and for all dispense with this tedious "But he always took the bins out and said hello" commentary, as if there was a contradiction here that needed explaining. Violent men ARE "nice guys". They're nice to everyone but the women they abuse. That's the whole point.

Who is this “if he hadnt murdered women with a crossbow he would have been a swell guy” commentary for? Yeah Kyle Clifford seemed normal, they always do, even when they’re abusing you. There’s no monster gene - it’s always the average man who harms women, & that’s WHY it’s scary.

Domestic abuse spikes 26% when England plays, 38% if they lose, and 11% the day after, win or lose. Women's safety is at the mercy of men who can’t control themselves over a football game. Yet women are labelled emotional and crazy.

Solidarity with this woman who is visibly scared but unwavering in her commitment to speak out amidst racism and violence 🔥 This is being brave and using privilege on a kind of level we do not often see 🖤

Those who rioted in Southport & those who encouraged them through lies & bigotry have no interest in the children whose lives were cruelly taken What we do know about the alleged killer is he is British born to Rwandan parents. Rwanda is 98% Christian So why attack a mosque?

This woman faced down the rioters in Southport last night with a clear message: their racism wasn't welcome. Let her bravery be what is remembered, rather than the shameful scenes of fools embarrassing themselves.

We are deeply affected by the events that took place in Southport on Monday. Our thoughts go to the families and loved ones of those affected by the violence. Ending violence against women and girls must be a priority – Bebe, Elsie and Alice should all still be here today.

Some kind locals in Southport that took in the teddies at the cordon last night ahead of the rain - are returning them to the tributes site this morning. Such a wonderful act of kindness.

The problem in this country isn't Muslims, it isn't black people and it's not immigrants. The real problem in this country, is toxic male masculinity. That's the problem we need to do something about and fast.

Biggest massacre of children in UK was in Dunblane by Thomas Hamilton. Not an immigrant, not a Muslim in case anyone is still confused.

35 new victims of Andrew & Tristan Tate. THIRTY FIVE. Including minors. That's 50 women and children, all victims of sexual abuse by these men. Yet Tate remains REVERED by hundreds of thousands of young boys and men. Do not tell me misogyny isn't a HUGE danger to women and girls.

NEWS Labour - Angela Rayner - to pile pressure onto those named and shamed in the Grenfell Inquiry report and, where prosecution under current laws are possible, to push those through as soon as possible 👍🏼

Today marks 38 years since the murder of 13-year-old Ahmed Iqbal Ullah. The Bangladeshi heritage schoolboy had a strong sense of justice and stood up to bullies. He was stabbed to death in a Manchester school playground after defending a younger Asian boy from racist bullying.
