Just presented at TCT and published in NEJM by Philippe Genereux showing superiority of early TAVR in asymptomatic severe AS. This trial will change the guidelines !

The EVOLVED study w surgery/#TAVR in asymptomatic severe Aortic Stenosis w fibrosis on #whycmr JAMA - i guess results will be debated! But certainly early treatment not harmful. C together w EARLY TAVR! jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/… #TCT2024 Mamas A. Mamas Dr. Martha Gulati ♥️🫀❤️🩹🇨🇦

Ongoing debate about the EARLY-TAVR primary endpoint, but after 3 days have found Suppl.Figure 4 - All-cause death, stroke, v.robust definition of HF hospitalization. HR 0.60 [0.44 - 0.83] - a positive trial! Benoy Shah MD Vass Vassiliou David J. Cohen, MD, MSc Philippe Genereux @mmamas19731

#AHA24: How does OxPL-apoB affect the risk of calcific aortic valve disease? Using data from MESA, Drs. Harpreet Bhatia, Sam Tsimikas, MD & team show that ⬆️ OxPL-apoB is associated with increased incidence and progression of valve disease bit.ly/3YRMeDf #JACC

Big news today on Sam Tsimikas and aortic stenosis. I will cover this in a brief tweetorial when I get a chance later today. Harpreet Bhatia UC San Diego Cardiology Fellows UC San Diego Cardiology
