This octopus is at the end of her life. Her eggs have hatched & her job is done. She'll continue to waste away & become easy prey for predators & scavengers. This octopus is brooding eggs. Amazing how she lets the ROV see more and more of the eggs as we wait. She'll stay here for years, not eating, only moving her arms to aerate her eggs or fight off predators, until her babies hatch.
