The new Pembury scheme is discussed. Astonishingly the new scheme will score just 28% on a safety assessment tool (JAT). This is a fail by a long way (70% is an automatic fail) and a very bad engineering design.

In no way can a junction design that FAILS on safety be allowed to be implemented. Hackney Council Pembury Junction plans are not fit for purpose & must be scrapped. & Hackney LCC have an alternate Vision Zero scheme designed by a leading engineer available! Active Travel England
