Another busy few days completed! Middle of last week, we covered the Caythopre Bramley Challenge! Before moving onto 2 days Newark Showground for the National HamFest & Sunday for the Blidworth Endurance Ride

We also back at this years Sutton on Trent Festival over the weekend. Welcoming local schools on Friday afternoon before the two main show days full of activities & action! Saturday evening also brought an evening of live music!

Saturday, our team traveled to Sleaford for the Car & Motorcycle show. A field full of cars and motorcycles on display, It was said by many who attended it was wheelie good! 🛞

Last Saturday we covered the Pikes Anglers club event at Newark Showground. Everything fishy on offer for them days by the water. We also had our first day of PlantWorx 2025 set up on Saturday! All Newark Showground Sunday we covered the local Battle Of Britain ceremony in town.

On Sunday, we returned for another Auto Jumble Newark Showground - while another team took to the water for the Dragon Boat Festival in aid of Children's Bereavement Centre & Beaumond House Hospice Care - fantastic day of racing, entertainment, food, drink & activities

1/2, For the last 9 days we have had teams of volunteers covering the set up to this years PlantWorx 2025 Construction Exhibition Newark Showground

2/2 - PlantWorx 2025 aimed at the UK construction industry which is open to the public for the next 3 days with thousands of attendees will view the many trade stands and displays. Schools and colleges will also attend tomorrow.

A pleasure to accept a cheque from Newark and Sherwood District Council, on behalf of the fantastic team at Newark Com First Aid Thanks to generous donations & fundraising, the charity has a new ambulance & off-road vehicle. Great news for the many local events they provide essential first aid cover to.

Last Sunday, members had a day of Critical Incident Training/mass Casualty events. Vital training for our members to deal with large scale incidents, looked at our command & control, triage and interventions, casualty collection points, SKED stretcher & water rescue techniques

Thursday our members enjoyed a day at Flintham Show & Ploughing Match. A range of trade stands, horse jumping, activities, food and drink stands. Our 6 members with our mobile and 4x4 unit was on duty, we even had a few minutes on the PA to tell everyone about what we do.

1/2 On Saturday we covered the Southwell Ploughing Match & Show. This is the county’s largest one day Agricultural Show with a very busy show site a mix of trade stands, displays, produce and craft tents, dog show & farmers’ market. The main ring equestrian, BMX stunt riding

2/2, Southwell show also had a range of horse rings, ploughing match & a locket food and drink court! With plenty for the family to see and do across the show field. We had 9 of our volunteers on duty along with a range of contacted paramedics, ambulances & 4x4 units to cover.

Following on from Southwell Show on Saturday evening our volunteers covered Southwell Young Farmers ‘After Show Party’ as the youngsters danced and socialised until midnight.

1/4 we’ve just finished our busiest period ever! With Southwell Show & after party, Flintham Show & PlantWorx 2025 We have been providing 12 hours per day first aid cover Newark Showground since the 13th September & ended Tuesday.

2/4,On the 3 show days 23rd, 24th & 25th we increased our levels of cover with 8 of our volunteer first aiders, joined by our friends from Oak Valley events who provide our paramedic support for PlantWorx 2025

3/4, Since last Friday we have covered the breakdown of PlantWorx 2025 During this period, we have covered a large number of other events small and large. We appreciate the time & support from all of our volunteers during this busy period!
