Wow! I was wrong. The trial I thought I would never see started yesterday. This is HMG’s £122M claim against Medpro. This should be super-interesting. If the govt. wins how will it enforce the judgment, Medpro having no assets? If not, incompetent procurement will be spotlighted.

Scrolling though a grim Twitter from my desk this morning. Stopping at every landscape painting or photograph, opeining it wide, and recognising the uplift from it.

Pathetic reporting on #BBCNews. Advice about keeping cool (again) and a brief mention of street trees. But no investigation of why UK building regs & town planning are not ahead of the curve for climate change. We’ve had 15 years to plan. Wasted opportunity.

ok here is my ‘sounds like a shitpost but it’s genuine’ UK heatwave tip: if there is a Saxon or Norman church near you, and it’s open, go sit in it. not gothic, too many windows, get some thick stone walls with some high up tiny windows. they stay cold. and you can just sit there

Andrea obviously hasn’t read the results of the Lincolnshire PCC’s 2024 Police & Crime survey. She ought to, as she is paid to represent the people of Lincolnshire. The survey shows clearly that most people here do not live in fear of crime.
