Fresh from London and now to Brussels, for new NFU Scotland President Andrew Connon as he attends his first COPA-COGECA Praesidium. As the largest trading partner of the UK, relations on EU issues remains important for the farming unions.

Another year, another action packed Highland Show for NFU Scotland .Vast amount of member, stakeholder & political engagement across the four days. Big focus on retail engagement, particularly in light of recent announcements on imports. But always more to do! 💪

Biblical rain here in East Lothian tonight. Our weather patterns do feel more extreme & we don’t have great water storage capacity on farms in Scotland. Investment in infrastructure to capture rainfall like this will be key going forward for better business resilience 🌾

🌱Great to see the FFIS launched. This is a new way of providing targeted capital funding for the sector & should help investment and innovation whilst also informing future support schemes. 🌱
