Four in ten Australians feel asking someone ‘are you OK?’ is a conversation better had with an expert. But you don’t need to be an expert to have an R U OK? conversation. You already have what it takes to support family, friends & colleagues. bit.ly/3yyvoMw

Very happy to assist in making the case that NI clinicians need access to confidential mental health support in line with England, Scotland and Wales. It saves lives and money

NI we are petitioning relentlessly for this service. It’s not private, it’s not special treatment, it allows a discrete self referral for a professional group into services they know they need , allowing earlier access before the crash and burn scenarios we all know happen .

Note the MANY professionals with first hand experience of NHS Practitioner Health (whether as patients, #FitnessToPractise lawyers or professional leaders) completely contradicting what Chris Hopson says. There is NO comparison between Occ Health and NHS Practitioner Health. Please Chris, pay

Sincerely hope DISCREET working group NI you get the green light to develop a practitioner health service for NI. We can no longer afford to lag behind the rest on these islands when it comes to caring for our clinicians.

Individual solutions are a sticking plaster to improve wellbeing and reduce burnout. The evidence is there around solutions. We need system, organisational change and leadership that prioritises wellbeing for all our colleagues. Stop counting data without making changes!
