Niagara Catholic is aware of the unknown threat to St. Philomena Catholic Elementary School this morning. Police have investigated and allowed students and staff back into the building. All families have been notified. We will provide more information when available.

We are grateful to the swift actions of NRPS this morning and we appreciate the many Board staff who were on hand to support St. Philomena students and staff. Thankfully, this was an unfounded concern. Parents in the school community have been notified.

All Niagara Catholic schools are closed to school today (February 6) due to freezing rain. Although the forecast may improve throughout the day, this decision was made out of an abundance of caution for keeping our school communities and staff safe.
