I'm excited to share our latest research in PNAS. Our collective team effort has discovered that translation regulation in astrocytes helps consolidate long-term memories. Thanks Sonenberg Lab Arkady Khoutorsky Klann Lab Rosenblum Lab Маша Подойникова wesparkhealth pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

A great way to end the year! I am excited to share our latest publication in Cell Reports . Our paper delves into the intricate world of mouse embryonic stem cells, unraveling the Impact of eIF2α phosphorylation on their translational landscape. cell.com/cell-reports/f…

New preprint alert from our lab! Our latest study led by Sara Bermudez and @argelaguilarvalles.bsky.social explores the mTORC1-4E-BP1 axis in microglia as a potential neuroprotective mechanism and therapeutic target in Alzheimer's Disease. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

‼️My PhD work pre-print‼️ Sonenberg Lab #mTOR #TREM2 #mitochondria ➡️#Microglia need to be fit 💪 to stop AD pathology. We delved into some previously unexplored pathways microglia employ to keep up (and not get so mad). 1/ a bit overdue🧵 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Congratulations to our amazing mentor on receiving an honorary degree from ULethbridge ! Your groundbreaking work in mRNA translation continues to inspire us all.

Great to see our perspective (Mehdi Amiri . Sonenberg Lab ) on the current knowledge of dysregulated mRNA translation in cancer published in RNA. Thank you to Soroush tahmasebi for the collaboration. rnajournal.cshlp.org/content/early/…

Good luck with your future endeavours Mehdi Amiri . It was great to have you as a colleague and a friend at the Sonenberg Lab

Excited to share our latest research, led by Weihua Cai, in collaboration with Amir Minerbi, Emmanuel Gonzalez, Irah King and many others. The gut microbiota promotes pain in fibromyalgia: Neuron cell.com/neuron/fulltex…

Great talks today by the previous alumni of the Sonenberg Lab. Thank you Mia Goodman and Rosalind & Morris Goodman Cancer Institute for organizing and hosting the event .

Happy to share a new paper from the Sonenberg Lab , where we show that GIGYF2 (growth factor receptor–bound protein 10 [GRB10]-interacting GYF [glycine–tyrosine–phenylalanine] protein 2) does not bind to GRB10. Thanks to all the coauthors and collaborators.
