Band 3 Physio Assistant post going on the Elderly Care Wards at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. An amazing team with a fantastic and supportive Team Lead. You'll also work very closely with the Occupational Therapists. Will miss working with an awesome team. royalberkshire.nhs.uk/work-with-us/j…

Staff Appreciation Day - a simple message from my Band 6 Physio but it's the simple things that mean so much....plus think she's panicking about what she's going to do once I've leave at the end of month 😆

Presented for the last time at NOF Governance today. Touched to hear the consultants who I've worked with over almost 4 years are gutted that I'm leaving, but honoured their thanks for all the work I've done too. Really am sad to be leaving the RBH.

There's a joke behind it all, but am very touched to have received this leaving gift from a doctor who I work with on my ward. I panicked at first when I received the email as I thought I had been hacked. Just hope Lion Leo doesn't start asking for back dated pocket money!!

If anyone knows of anyone who might be interested. Can honestly vouch and say you will have a very supportive, approachable and caring Team Lead, work together with OTs and great MDT and trust me, you will have so much fun in the Elderly Care Team.

Personal Track Safety assessment passed, nice when the assessor talks you through your results and says, "That's a very solid assessment and you should be proud of it."

Had the pleasure of working a train under supervision to Weymouth on Monday and Cardiff yesterday. Been a brain frazzling few weeks but things are starting to sink in. 5 days of shadowing starts tomorrow on the routes I'll be working, nervous but excited at the same time.

Buzzing to get 100% on another test, what a way to end another intense week of training. Just over a month to go before I complete my training course. Still sad to have left the NHS but it was definitely the change I needed, and have definitely missed railway life.

Doing a bit of first aid in my new job and fell straight back into my old physio assistant role and almost doing a falls risk assessment. I would have done their obs as well if there was an obs machine on board 😆

I need a holiday so badly. My head hurts from the amount of learning I've had to do within the past couple of months. Hate to admit it but am missing collecting and preparing data for NOF Governance 😆. Just got to remember it'll all be worth it in the end.

Well that was my 1st ride out assessment today and successfully passed. That's 1 route signed off, just 2 more to go and then my rules exam. Just be glad when it's over and out working trains independently.

Passed my Initial Rules Exam today, so that's me allowed to work trains independently. Been a huge learning journey, lots of rules and regulations to get my head around as well as what to do in different situations. A new journey in life begins.

Got to love a rainbow, especially a double rainbow. I did think about it but thought it was too cold to go diving for the pot of gold.

Just like that it's been a year since I left the RBH. I can't lie, definitely miss the job and all the fab people. So many great and fond memories as well as learning so much.

Not everyone wants to be a line manager… Yet often the only way to progress at work is through managing more. It forces people into roles they’re not good at and can result in a rubbish culture. What about promotions and pay rises just for being good at the actual job?
