We facilitated the use of Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) for 2 young men to take part in our local parkrun UK. Such a positive initiative and so valuable having the support of our local community. Michele Glassup Keith Potter

It has been great supporting Nacro outdoor learnings HAF program today, working with young people in Brooklands and beyond. Spent the morning frisbee golfing and then on a bike ride through Wythenshawe park. Then in the afternoon welcoming a visiting politician from Norway #haf

We should be very careful in using the term “terror related”. Sadly there have always been horrendously violent evil acts by individuals some mentally disturbed. it is understandable we look for an ideological motivation but often there is just not one - it’s hatred

I have been hugely impressed by the quality, dedication and enthusiasm of Unlocked Graduates working in some of our most challenging prisons. Really sorry to hear the scheme, in future will not go ahead, at a time when the recruitment of high-quality officers is so important.

Happy 50th to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act! Read the first in our series of blogs celebrating this ground-breaking law which recognised the need to give people the chance to move on from their pasts. #ROA50 #SecondChances buff.ly/3AmkJc3

From 2220 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/li…. Tl:dr Be very cautious about charging rioters with terrorism – (1) there are plenty of other powerful tools in the box (2) terror charges will raise the emotional temperature, and focus attention on motivation rather than simple criminality.

Unlocked Graduates We are sorry that this scheme is ending, we have liked it for a whole range of reasons. What it has demonstrated, is that with careful, resourced selection, enhanced training and an increased total reward package people want to join the prison service.

I'm a big fan of business leaders using their experience and voice to influence policy for a better economy. The criteria I use for business people doing this well are: 1) Stick to areas in which they have deep expertise 2) Always focus on their interventions creating positive

This is a very powerful and important piece about the connections between misogyny and far right activism- when we look beyond stopping the violence of this week this analysis needs to be part of the national conversation as to how we defeat this hatred 👇theconversation.com/the-hypermascu…

I talked to the far right, including Tommy Robinson. for my book Extreme Britain. Protecting 'their' women from Muslim men was a key mobilising narrative - it's been the key theme this week, even if based on a lie.. Shame we need to say it but, Hull is open for business, museums, galleries, theatres, shops, events, etc are all just getting on with normal life. Come & enjoy what’s on offer in Yorkshire’s only Maritime City 😊. I’d be grateful for R/T 👍

Like others I have decided to leave X. Its become so full of hateful content that the fascinating, funny, and thought provoking content I used to find has left or been deliberately squeezed out. Shame
