7 hour journey to the fringe but A Manchester Anthem made it worth it. A total knockout. An energetic, loving ode to Manchester, mates and mums. Texted mine after to remind her she’s ace.

A Manchester Anthem A Manchester Anthem! Beautiful one man show, the kind of honest storytelling about class and family trauma, subtle when necessary but hits hard. Excellent uses of music and one great set change, and anchored by a wonderful lead performance. Stunning cathartic ending

Wow. Mighty. A Manchester Anthem at #edfringe - nabbed a last minute ticket at a deservedly 5star, sellout show. Tight, pacy writing that doesn't drop a beat and a stunning, visceral and charismatic performance from it's solo protagonist. Important, inspiring & powerful storytelling.
Saw four sold out #EdFringe shows yest but the one I'm still thinking about is A Manchester Anthem - a tale of class identity & finding your place in the world when you feel like you don’t fit in. Huge congrats to all involved. Hope to see this touring the North one day soon. 🤞🐝
