Forget Cannes. The only award I’m interested in seeing which agency wins is most money spent on least real-world impact. The competition is fierce!

SCOTUS decision on age verification isn't just legal precedent, it's an artifact symbolizing our moment's anxiety about sexuality, paternalism and privacy online. These laws curb traffic to compliant sites and drive users to VPNs and noncompliant sites. zine.kleinkleinklein.com/p/supreme-cour…

Fascinating stuff happening in startup culture at the moment. Designating not just competitors but company-level Nemeses. Opposite missions and value sets. Who and what is your startup the "Anti" of? (Ping Ņ̨͈̯̻̪̥̥ͅick S̘͓͙usi "start a war", etc.)

The best thread I've read this year. Games are not games, they're social networks, and players choose to stay in-network. Meanwhile competing is increasingly expensive and fighting for a smaller slice. I expect we'll see similar dynamics play out in other attention economies.
