The execution of paramedics and the burying of an ambulance must count among the darkest episodes of this war. Israel must understand that there is no military solution that can resolve the Palestinians' right to self-determination. Violence feeds only more violence.

A camp where Israel intends to concentrate Gaza's population is, as Israeli news outlet +972 accurately puts it, a concentration camp. If the starvation and disease policy of slowly "thinning" the population continues, it would become a death camp.

Thinking about it, ironically maybe the biggest victims of the Trump tariffs may end up being American companies. Take Apple for instance. These guys have spent decades building incredibly complex global supply chains that span dozens of countries. They can't just flip a switch

"The scenes inside Gaza’s hospitals no longer resemble medical facilities. Patients lie strewn across floors slick with blood, their wounds left untreated. Some gasp for air as oxygen runs out; others lie in silence, waiting for relief that will never come."

15 senators voted to save lives today. It’s disgraceful that some senators flipped their support & now agree to slaughter children with U.S. bombs. Americans want to stop arming the Israeli gov't. We will remember who agreed to send 35,000 one-ton bombs to kill Palestinians.

I think the tariffs are an act of self-harm and cruelty against a number of very poor countries but no i don’t understand people who are morally indignant about tariffs but not about the tens of thousands, perhaps more, of young children deliberately killed in Gaza

Agree, but unfortunately the killing of the medics is only part of the story. The surviving medic saw women carrying dead and injured children, and men forced into a ditch. The larger story is what IDF soldiers are doing to civilians on the ground. theguardian.com/world/2025/apr…

"after 50 days of no supplies entering Gaza due to the blockade, MSF teams are running low on even basic painkillers" “Children scream as we are forced to peel burnt fabric from their skin” This is a crime against humanity. It is one of the charges before the ICC.

Profit margins for Weapon and Ammunition at Rheinmetall went up from 23% to 28.5% from 2023 to 2024. Of every Euro in public money spent on weapons from Rheinmetall, the company makes 28.5% return on sales, quite spectacular even compared to other Rheinmetall business.
