Hi, your favorite future emergency doc here to remind you to NEVER PUT YOUR FEET UP ON THE CAR DASHBOARD. EVER. Should you get into an accident, the results are truly catastrophic. Please just don’t.

I’m an odd oncologist, maybe. When my patients opt for no chemo, I keep seeing them if they wish. I help w/ symptoms, follow scans over time, & help interpret data about alternatives. A doctor is a guide. We should continue to guide, even if a person opts for a different path.

My patient has desperately wanted a Sprite and the hospital cafeteria has been out so I snuck into the doctor’s lounge and brought her one and she was the happiest I’ve seen her. Coincidentally, it’s the happiest I’ve been all week too.

Good morning. McDonald’s is hiring and offering $18-21/hr starting pay. As a first year cardiology fellow with 4 years experience saving lives… I don’t make McDonald’s starting pay 🙃

I had an amazing time at the #ACR annual meeting in DC in May of this year. Wondering what other radiology conferences I should consider attending in the future? Anyone with any recommendations or willing to share their personal experiences would be kindly appreciated!

RIP Tristan 😣💗 I hope every hospital administrator/ceo/manager reads this and I hope it makes them sick. This is what nurses go through. Every single day. No matter what unit, no matter what shift.

A resident messaged me this week: “Instead of making working conditions better, my program director just told me to keep increasing my antidepressant dose.” In case anyone was wondering… Prescription medications aren't the solution for bad working conditions.

Excited to be applying for #PediatricRadiology Fellowship! Anyone else applying this year too? I’m the only one interested in peds in my residency program and would love to meet some people going through the application process this year. Best of luck to all!

“Congress needs to again go back to the drawing board and make sure that they FULLY stop the Medicare physician pay cut before the end of the year.  Our patients are depending upon it.”

The Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act (H.R. 879), if passed, would prospectively cancel the 2.83% payment cut, and add a 2.0% update to account for inflation. Tell your representative to cosponsor H.R. 879! …ology.ac360.aristotleactioncenter.com/#/alertId/5356… ACR RAN

I can’t believe today is the last day of my 4-week AIRP course! I am sad it is ending but I am coming out with an unbelievable amount of knowledge and feeling grateful to be in the best medical specialty! American College of Radiology

Every professional organization in medicine should denounce the involvement of private equity in healthcare. They should send a clear message to their young physician members that PE is bad for hospitals, private practices, and patients. They won’t do it, but they should.
