❓Why should models of non-persistent plant virus transmission include aphid vector dispersal & feeding behaviours? 🗣️ Explained by Elin Falla at today's @livunimaths Mathematical Biology seminar 📄 To find out more, see associated PLOS Comp Biol paper: doi.org/10.1371/journa…

My first first-author paper is out in PLOS Comp Biol! Read about why including aphid vector behavior is important for modelling NPT plant virus transmission, in particular when the virus is manipulating plant host phenotype: journals.plos.org/ploscompbiol/a…

The student will be working on predicting the evolution of fungicide resistance, combining experimental work in my lab at Niab, and modelling with Nik Cunniffe at @plantsci Cambridge University and Philip Madgwick and Ariane Le Gros at Syngenta.
