I'm gravely alarmed by the decision of the Israeli Government to "take control of Gaza City". This marks a dangerous escalation & risks deepening the already catastrophic consequences for millions of Palestinians. It could further endanger more lives, including of the remaining

Horrified to learn of the killing of #AlJazeera journalists in Gaza, including reporter Anas Al Sharif. A direct hit on freedom of the press. Since Oct. 2023, at least 186 journalists have been killed. Civilians must be protected, access secured & the press safeguarded. Always.
