A child can access social media in seconds - no real age checks, no barriers. I’ve raised this in Parliament and with the Commission. Kids deserve real protection online and I’m calling on platforms to introduce proper age and identity verification.

This announcement marks a welcome return to practical, cooperative EU–UK relations. Linking emissions trading schemes, making progress on agri-food standards, fisheries & prospect of UK re-joining Erasmus+ are all common-sense steps that will deliver for people & businesses🇪🇺🇬🇧

It was a pleasure to catch up with Fine Gael colleagues as part of EU Maritime Day in Cork, following a productive and engaging session with Commissioner Costas Kadis. It was a great opportunity to connect, share insights, & discuss the future of our maritime & fishing sector.

In my letter to The Irish Times, I highlighted how encouraging it is to see positive energy & goodwill finally translate into a concrete step forward in the UK-EU relationship. The real challenge now is to turn those objectives into meaningful progress for people & businesses alike.

This week, I joined the Parliament’s Transport and Tourism Committee in Malta to discuss sustainable transport, maritime infrastructure, and tourism. It was a valuable exchange with those shaping the country’s future in these sectors.
