Stop asking to rename "Arattai", the name is unique and in a native Indian language. If we don't have any problem with names like Xiaomi, huawei or samsung then there should be no problem with "Arattai" First, let's support our app, and later we can ask for changes or updates.

Poor soul has clearly never had a good one. A truly great idli is a cloud, a whisper, a perfect dream of the perfectibility of human civilisation. It's a sublime creation, a delicate, weightless morsel of rice and lentil, steamed to an ethereal fluffiness that melts on the

India has the big issue. 1. India is still a lower middle income country. Used to be a poor country. 2. Lot of divisions and fissures, it’s politically easier to exploit those fault lines (caste, language, etc) to win rather than provide urban infrastructure 3. Rural votes

India has a big allocation problem in agriculture. Tonnes of wheat and rice left to rot. Importing palm oil, soy oil and seed oils. Need to change incentives. Need to change diet - millets (Jowar, Bajra, Kodri, foxtail,) to replace rice and wheat. And better edible oils.

The guy who predicted fall of USSR as early as 1976 … based on anthropology and infant mortality. Today he says west might see defeat (in the war in Ukraine) and dislocations.

On a related note, I wrote about the day that Quentin Tarantino decided to quit working as a clerk at a video store and move to Hollywood. The video store job was “dream adjacent” and “putting his real ambition to sleep”, so he made a change. readtrung.com/p/the-day-quen…

The reason you never change anyone’s mind is because conclusions are not independent. If I make a compelling case that one of your positions is wrong, it’s not that singular position I’m bringing into question. It’s the credibility of the person you trusted who convinced you of

There are questions about where Zoho is developed and where the data is hosted and who hosts it. There is a lot of false information we want to correct. 1. All the products are developed in India. Our global headquarters is in Chennai and we pay taxes in India on our global

Somehow this manages to avoid touching the people the public are angry about, while also making the UK less attractive to the future highly-paid immigrants we might want to compete for. Impressive commitment to the worst of both worlds.
