Northern Ireland needs a respected, independent, evidence-based institute to drive policy, in the way ESRI does in the South. In fact, itself drawing on ESRI would be the best possible approach for the North.

#TullachÓg One thing you can say about our ancient high kings and chieftans is that they knew how to choose a spot with a view. Gorgeous evening walk looking to the Sperrins on the left & towards Slemish on the right A moment for the headline in the last photo-not much change 😉

There is nothing better than being out with a group of rural women. Thanks to our Charmain Jones for supporting the delivery of our vibrant Women’s Spaces programme ‘Where Are the Women?’ So good wk 1 had 8 participants but they kept bringing friends each week 🫶#SignsOfSuccess

This is exactly the kind of thing that we have absorbed and normalised yet is key indicator that we have yet to deal effectively with the legacy of the past; it is very much still present. Freedom of the press is the cornerstone of democracy.

We welcome the extension of free school meals to everyone on Universal Credit (and hope to see this also implemented in NI) but just look at the poverty impacts of removing the two-child limit and benefit cap - this would make a significant difference to addressing child poverty
