Roe. Miranda. Gun control. Church and State. All dismantled in a single week. The single worst week for civil rights and liberties in decades.

Today, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues—attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans.

Not surprised. Profoundly disappointed. This will have profound implications, especially for poor and minority women, who already shoulder America’s biggest injustices. Ideology will not defeat inequity in the long run, but the champions of good are weary. But not daunted.
