Sean Evans: so Tom, in the 17 years between Gravity's Rainbow and Vineland, you reportedly slunk around Northern California, addicted to TV, sending crank letters to a local newspaper under the name "Wanda Tinasky"-- Thomas Pynchon (choking on NUCLEAR ASS hot sauce): holy fuck

Re-reading 'The Hunter' for the first time in years and I'm struck by how emotional and borderline out-of-control Parker is... it's a real shift from the subsequent books in the series, when he's more like the T-800 with a taste for robbery.

Zach and I went to the same, very small high school and yet I have zero recollection of him AT ALL. Which is fine except it might have been cool to talk horror way back in the day.

You have to be patient when journalist types on here wax nostalgic for Gawker. What they really miss is when journalism still had jobs, that thrill of being in the city at 25 and in love, that feeling of destroying lives like an unblinking toddler before an anthill.

Nice little squib for WHERE THE BONES LIE in the UChicago Magazine … if you’re looking for a mystery/thriller for that late-summer vacation, your bookstore will definitely have it! #mystery

The fact that David Fincher is directing a Quentin Tarantino screenplay, bringing back an iconic Brad Pitt character from a film that grossed $400mil WW, and it's *not* going theatrical but *only* on streaming - should be absolutely illegal

A Spike Lee take on a Kurosawa film released by A24 should warrant such high anticipation but is given the barest of minimums of promotions and it's actively pissing me off. If that's just SPIKE LEE imagine how WORSE it is for many other Black filmmakers right now. Infuriating.

Chalamet (young DEA agent): But theres no way she’s connected. She’s just a student. Brolin: yeah well that “NYU student” is under direct orders from Hamas. This line of work may not be for you kid. del Toro: The entire encampment dies. Today.

The next time you update this LIC list, Eater NY, please consider Go Nonna, Hibino, TukTuk, the Baroness, and Kuku, which, holy hell, is probably the best Korean fried chicken in a 10-mile radius. ny.eater.com/maps/best-rest…

As a berserk 'Alien' fan I'm really digging 'Alien: Earth.' Morrow is my favorite character so far, but I'm trying to not get too attached.
