It was absolute chaos around Sefton Park this morning, with traffic pushed further out to surrounding roads as well. Two schools in a built-up area is simply not a viable location for events of this scale. Those kids with exams imminent, clearly Liverpool City Council donβt give a crap.

The Friends of Sefton Park Went past Sefton Park today 13 days before the event. Roads closed. Great big areas boarded up, blocking the lovely spring vistas across the park. Looks like an Internment camp. Why set up so early Liverpool City Council some city dwellers rely on this green space

Liverpool City Council Werenβt at the heart of the decision to close Sefton Park for a month including the road around it, causing absolute chaos, maybe start by rescinding the traffic closure order there, easing the pain of the people, schools & businesses, madness that no thought was given to fallout

Charging for parking doesnβt prevent illegal parking, if anything it makes the situation worse. Liverpool City Council

Liverpool will not recieve any money from the BBC Big Weekend. It will cost the city Β£250,000. 90% of attendees are local - not much external investment. Interesting interview on BBC Radio Merseyside with Harry Doyle πΉπ³οΈβπ. Skip to 3:23:26 to hear it. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0β¦

Cars are being abandoned all over the place in and around the Lark Lane/Ivanhoe Road area. Liverpool City Council have spent a quarter of a million pounds screwing the people who live nearby Sefton Park. This was simply not the place for an event on this scale.

So, Liverpool City Council just spent a quarter of a million on the Radio some Big Weekend. Whereβs the 20k to keep a part of the cityβs history alive? Harry Doyle πΉπ³οΈβπ Liam Robinson
