This week in Renk transit centre I met some incredible children - they have been through so much - and they just want to be children - to play, learn and thrive. Children need peace - they deserve nothing less. We should all be racing towards that goal.

Recently in Bentiu, South Sudan, I saw for myself the impact of reduced funding at the community level. The health post was padlocked. Closed. Peter, a Boma Health Worker is a lifeline, but without facilities & services connecting to the wider health system, children are at risk.

I have had the privilege to serve children in #Rwanda #Zambia and #SouthSudan in my career. This #AfricaDay let us recommit to the fulfilling the rights of every child across the continent - to their health, nutrition, education, protection and happiness. They deserve no less.
