Recently in Bentiu, South Sudan, I saw for myself the impact of reduced funding at the community level. The health post was padlocked. Closed. Peter, a Boma Health Worker is a lifeline, but without facilities & services connecting to the wider health system, children are at risk.

Household data collection is well underway for the Multiple Indicator Cluster survey #SouthSudan with National Bureau of Statistics - South Sudan & thanks to donor support. Later this summer we'll have new data on key indicators of child well-being for the first time in years - informing policy & practice.

Today we brought the spirit of Rwanda’s ‘Umuganda’ to our office compound in Juba. We planted 376 trees and plants and had a wonderful time together. Great for the planet. Great for the soul. 🌱🪴🪏
