PD Rosie attended Flore Beaver Group yesterday evening to teach the children about Police Dogs. She was accompanied by Police puppy Indie and they have both been invited back to received their animal badge!

Today we had a wonderful visit from NFRSA team who met retired PDs Gru and Fama, and also some of the current dogs and handlers. It was so lovely to meet you all, thank you for coming to visit and hopefully we can do it again soon!

Last night PD Pyper assisted Northants Roads Policing Team when a cloned vehicle rammed them and then the driver decamped. Together with a drone operator, Pyper searched and located the driver hiding in a nearby garden. The vehicle turned out to be stolen from a different county.

Some results from the weekend. PD Pyper helped at an armed incident where males were seen with machetes. She searched the route taken & found several weapons hidden. And PD Bryn went to a burglary report today & tracked to two people trying to climb back over the perimeter fence.

A great team effort last night to arrest a male suspected of numerous thefts from vehicles. Sighted by AFOs, he made off on a bike but a good containment by response & NPT meant that Northants Roads Policing Team & PD Bryn could locate him trying to hide along with gloves, mask & glass hammer.

This afternoon Leicestershire Police had a pursuit with a vehicle which later crashed & two people ran off. PD Bryn tracked for around 4km across fields & the suspects were arrested as they tried to climb out of a field onto a road. Bryn also found vital evidence hidden along the track.

PD Kola also had a great result this afternoon. A burglary was reported with the suspect running away across a field after being disturbed. Kola tracked from where he was seen and found him hiding in a hedgerow. He also turned out to be wanted for failing to appear at court!

PD Bryn attended this burglary and tracked from the scene to the suspects house where they were arrested and stolen property recovered.

PD Bryn was kept busy last night with several deployments including finding a rucksack containing drugs hidden under a car belonging to a male who had run from officers, & later tracking through several fields to a missing person with a knife who was intent on harming themselves.
