We are currently dealing with a fire at a public house on Main Road, Wilby. We were called shortly before 11.20am & currently have 4 appliances on scene. Although the road remains open, please avoid travelling through Wilby on the A4500 if possible & find an alternative route.

**Updated 14/04 17:15** We've now left the scene of a fire at a public house on Main Road in Wilby (A4500). A Fire Investigation has concluded that the blaze started accidentally. We would like to thank everyone in the Wilby area for their patience this afternoon.

Tidying the garden over Easter? Safer to compost or recycle garden waste but if you have a bonfire take extra care. Avoid lighting bonfires on windy days & never leave it unattended. Keep it small & away from trees, fences & buildings. Keep a hose or bucket of water nearby.
