The Nith River is moving fast. The ground near the flooded river is soft and unstable, increasing the risk of slipping. -Stay back. Don't go near the river’s edge. -Keep pets on a leash & away from the water. -Talk to your children about the dangers of fast-moving water.

Update from GRCA indicates the Nith River in Ayr is expected to peak in Flood Warning Zone 2 in this evening. Our flood coordinators will continue to monitor conditions. Tannery Street remains closed as it's currently under water. Please continue to keep back from the Nith River.
