18GL recovered for the environment through water-saving projects is 18GL less bought from farmers and reduced socioeconomic impacts. Thatโ€™s a win-win. NSW DCCEEW - Water

Martin Murray The critical part of what Mal Peters is saying is how the policy is developed & enacted. The pushback we see is because it's being done to us, not with us. I'm fearful Senator Murray Watt will ram through new nature laws without involving us.

Thereโ€™s a lot happening in farming at the moment, and it can be hard knowing where to find help when itโ€™s needed. We developed our online Support Hub which offers mental health resources to help farmers & ag communities get through difficult times: ๐Ÿ‘‰farmerhealth.org.au/support-hub

Now looking forward to Senator Murray Watt setting up a discussion session as a matter of priority with peak farming groups across the nation. Farmers manage the most land and water after governments and are essential stakeholders in any conversation about improved environmental

Why are you leaving the most important people in this discussion until last Senator Murray Watt? These 'environmental' groups won't actually do anything. Their only contribution is their opinion. Farmers, on the other hand, manage more than 50% of our land. Farmers can enhance nature.

More evidence the rural water pricing model is broken and in need of a total remake. A corporatised structure that prices farmers out of business and keeps local food off the shelves is not sustainable.

"Water buybacks could be the final straw that breaks our industry." Slow clap to #ausgov for its unnecessary water buybacks pricing out dairy production in the Murray Dairy region, the last major milk producing area unaffected by devastating drought and floods.

Want fresh milk? Not if Australian Government Senator Murray Watt keep buying back more water from farmers in the Murray-Darling Basin. ADF analysis warns the Basin's dairy industry is on the brink and milk production could drop by 270 million litres -- the amount now being trucked into

When floods and drought are driving dairy farmers out of business in the NSW, Vic & SA regions producing 40% of Australia's milk, it totally makes sense for Australian Government Senator Murray Watt Julie Collins to keep pursuing water buybacks that are slashing production in the Murray region
