Happy #YorkshireDay to North Yorkshire Archives and Yorkshire Museum! Born in Harrogate in 1837, Cpl Robert Grant won the VC for actions with the 5th Foot during the Indian Rebellion. He served in the Met from 1st Aug 1864 until his death from TB in 1867 and is buried at Highgate Cemetery.
