Excited about this paper Cell Reports by Alex Drainas Alexandros Drainas in the lab, with help from Michael C Bassik for screens. Alex found that the WEE1 kinase inhibitor AZD1775 can activate the GCN2 kinase, which contributes to the anti-SCLC effects of AZD1775: tinyurl.com/5n7kapd7


A new paper in Nature Aging suggests age-related changed are nonlinear, and change id most rapid around ages 45 and 60. As someone rapidly approaching the first, biggest hump: gulp! They did thousands of measurements, and these graphs show how many change at different ages:
