We are pleased to announce that Dr. Shawn Foster (Dr. Shawn Foster) of Orangeburg County School District is the 2026 South Carolina Superintendent of the Year! Dr. Foster led his district to historic academic gains. For the first time, students in his district demonstrated growth in all tested subjects.

Congrats to Malachi Jean, Aden Foster, & Dwayne Butler for bringing home 1st place in the National Leadership & Skills Competition for MS Chapter Display. This was Orangeburg’s 1st time having a middle school team compete. They made history, winning the 1st national gold medal.🏆
