In Kumasi, I visited the poultry feed factory under construction by A2 company. It has the capacity to store and process 30,000 tonnes of maize and soya beans. It will serve as a huge market for our farmers and contribute significantly to the poultry sub-sector

Over the weekend, I engaged the media in Kumasi on Feed Ghana, the government’s flagship programme to increase food production, create jobs and drive our nation towards food security. Let’s all join the Feed Ghana Campaign to free everybody in Ghana.

Yesterday, at a meeting with FAO Assistant Director-General, Abebe Haile-Gabriel, we discussed FAO's 80th anniversary celebrations and explored strengthening its presence in Ghana and deepening collaboration, especially through the Feed Ghana Programme to boost food production.

On Sunday, June 29, I had the opportunity to engage with Ghana's diaspora community in Italy following the conclusion of 44th FAO Conference in Rome. Our discussion centered on key government initiatives in agric including the Feed Ghana Programme and Nkokɔ Nketenkete.

During my visit to Rome for the 44th Session of the FAO Conference and the 6th AU-EU Ministerial Conference on Agriculture, I paid a courtesy visit to Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson at the Vatican. We discussed extensively Ghana's agricultural development.

During my working visit to Hattat Traktör's facility in Istanbul, an understanding was reached for the establishment of a tractor assembly plant in Ghana. Hattat Traktör will provide technical support to our local partner, 10G Globaltech Ltd, to set up the plant.

In a meeting with CSIR, I explored their leadership in transforming Ghana's agricultural sector through innovation, research, and improved seed production. I emphasized the need to reduce reliance on imported seeds by developing high-quality, locally produced seeds.

Yesterday morning, I inaugurated the newly constituted board of PBC Shea Limited, unveiling government's plan to revive the company and reclaim Ghana's position in the thriving global shea industry.

On Tuesday, 22nd July, 2025, I presented 500 motorbikes to agricultural extension officers in a brief ceremony as part of a broader initiative to enhance extension services and increase food production.

Earlier, the Ghana National Farmers and Fishermen Association paid a courtesy visit to my office to collaborate on the Feed Ghana Programme.

I received the Director of International Relations and Development, David Bekesi from Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, in my office. The university plans to explore strategic partnership opportunities in Ghana's agricultural sector. #EricOpoku #MoFA
