Our playoff run ended sooner than we were hoping for, but it was a hard fought battle against a respectable team that ended in a 35-34 loss to end our season. Hats off to you, Zydeco Spice. Best of luck in New Mexico!

Defensive Player of the Game: Jessie Ahlers! You’ve championed a great backer crew all season with constancy, strength, determination, and grit. Well done Jess!

Offensive Player of the Game: Jen Reinke! Your leadership and composure on the field is remarkable. Way to go champ! Well deserved!!!

2023 Rookie of the Year: Mearah Miedema. Mearah was awarded Rookie of the Year in recognition of her impact on the team and on the field this season, as well as her ability to absorb and apply all the things she learned from the coaching staff this season.

Most Improved Player: Erika De Leon Erika received the Most Improved Player award for this season in recognition of her ability to help the team improve through her own growth on the field.

Defensive Player of the Year: Carissa Marler Carissa received this season’s Defensive Player of the Year in recognition of her ability to intimidate and direct opposing offenses, and for her commitment to making the team’s defense better.

Offensive Player of the Year: Kayla Lavalais Kayla received Offensive Player of the Year in recognition of her ability to lead our offense to a top spot in our division this season and help players execute the playbook.

2023 MVP (Most Valuable Player): Dani Flute Dani received the Most Valuable Player award in recognition of her extraordinary game play on both sides of the ball, leaning our division in multiple stats offensively and defensively.

Players’ Choice Award: Amanda Steffen Selected by SFSL Players, Amanda received this award recognizing her as the player most respected, someone who contributes to the team’s success on & off the field with consistent effort & positivity, and has represented our team well.
