After SEJ wrote to him Transport Secretary Mark Harper has insisted any DfT review of LTNs is independent: “It was an eyebrow-raiser” that part of the review was to be carried out by well-known LTN enthusiast Rachel Aldred. This separate to the LTN review ordered by Rishi Sunak

Well there’s a surprise. Peter Walker didn’t check out his story! A ‘story’ even he didn’t believe, though he suggested 25,000 road closures might be removed. PS. The 25,000 figure is unsubstantiated.

Blackheath Hill this evening during rush hour versus Hyde Vale. Let’s compare both roads… Average house price: Blackheath Hill £358k v £2.29m Hyde Vale Social housing: Blackheath Hill 58.1% v 7% Hyde Vale BAME population: Blackheath Hill 60% v 10% Hyde Vale Car

👇🏾 Which of these roads is going to be closed to through traffic? I'll give you a clue... One road has a BAME population of 60% and car ownership of 39%, the other road has a BAME population of 10% and car ownership of 76%. In America, they'd call this environmental racism.

SEJ fully supports a truly independent review of LTNs. What needs assessing includes: What benefits? Who benefits? What are the “dis-benefits”. Who is most negatively impacted? Impact of⬆️congestion on health & efforts to fight climate change? Need detailed EqIA and much more.

It’s not just FOIs that are a problem for Lewisham Council. The regulator ICO - Information Commissioner's Office has confirmed they have now reprimanded Lewisham Council for their failure to respond to 35% of Subject Access Requests within the statutory deadlines. ico.org.uk/media/action-w…

FOI requests show that thousands of hours of police time are being wasted as officers have to appeal against fines issued for entering LTNs My story today: thetimes.co.uk/article/b0c8de…

I genuinely don't know how you can look people in the eye as you walk around this Borough asking for votes Louise Krupski You "won't apologise for success?" Seriously? 😡 And Damien Egan , you promised us and you promised Rosamund Adoo-KD CBE FBSA to her face that you'd monitor this

Here are some real results: My 15 yr old daughter didn't have asthma pre-pandemic Now she does That's baseline data Before & after You've NO baseline data for air quality on her route to school. Every step is on a boundary road to the LTN 😡 Damien Egan Louise Krupski

Annie (@anniekhere) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Damien Egan Louise Krupski Why am I ranting again? Tonight's council meeting Louise Krupski said she'd not apologise for success 😡 Yes. LTN monitoring results are in & "air quality has improved everywhere" Tell that to the pharmacist who's dishing out more inhalers than ever Oh, and my daughter too.

Annie (@anniekhere) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Damien Egan Louise Krupski You have pushed traffic around this Borough & damaged so much You call that success? You're sitting on revenue, charging people money they can ill afford when they enter the maze of ANPR cameras. It disgusts me That's not for the environment's sake. It's to balance books 😡

Annie (@anniekhere) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Damien Egan Louise Krupski At least have the decency to give a "less fake" account of the LTN's "success" It's been a disaster. I know it, you know it, the Lewisham Mayor knows it & is off somewhere else The other councillors know it But you report its success tonight Nice new benches though 🙄
