My Mum is a Bird by Angie Cui 崔彦婷 & Evie Barrow highlights mums who don't fit the mould. With the mum depicted as a literal bird via Barrow's vibrant hand-drawn illustrations, this is an fun & quirky metaphorical tale. A great 'mum book' choice for something a bit different!
