Social workers are often the unsung heroes! This week, UNICEF Uganda joined partners, social workers, academia & students at Makerere University in powerful conversations around social inclusion, child protection, mental health, equity & resilience as catalysts towards attaining the #SDGs


Hon. Barugahara Balaam Ateenyi., Minister of State for Youth & Children Affairs, is attending the Africa Childcare Conference at the AU HQ. Themed “Building Partnerships for Inclusive Childcare,” the summit runs from 18–20 June with ministers & officials from AU member states.


Our team; Timothy Opobo, Clare Bangirana & Janet Abalo is participating in the Africa Conference on Childcare at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa. Under the theme “Building Partnerships to Accelerate Action”.



It was a pleasure to present at the International Social Work and Social Development Conference organized by Makerere University CHUSS in Makerere University.
