With support of the #ESCR from The University of Edinburgh we continue to work with Universities to understand the challenges that hinder potential refugee students from accessing universities for higher education. Today we started a two day training of admissions staff from four universities

While giving opening remarks at the training Patricia Atim P'Odong who represented the Principal Makerere Law School, spoke about how important it was for the universities to be more inclusive of refugee students as it would be responding to key community challenges as well as SDG4

The universities participating at the training are those that offer Mature Age Entry exams with the hope that they can make this pathway to university more accessible to refugees whose education has been interrupted by conflict since it does not require academic qualifications
