Last weekend, the residents of Summergil House had a packed schedule filled with exciting activities! They embraced the adrenaline rush of funfair rides, enjoyed a peaceful gardening session, and wrapped it all up with meals at their favourite restaurants.

The Old Vicarage Christmas Panto returned this year as residents, parents and staff were treated to a fantastic performance by the Tickled Pink Productions. The cast put on an amazing show which included a variety of Christmas stories to get everyone into the festive spirit!

B has been enjoying the colder weather recently with a fun pedal power session alongside his support staff, Tobi. There’s nothing like a ride around Pontcanna Fields to warm up and enjoy the fresh winter air!

At Summergil, the young people and staff embrace every kind of weather — and the recent snow was no exception! As soon as the snowflakes started falling, our young people couldn't wait to bundle up in their coats and hats and head outside.

At Orbis, our OT's use a range of interventions to help individuals achieve their personalised goals. Each plan is tailored, realistic, and measurable to support meaningful progress. These tools help foster independence, emotional balance, and personal growth.

Every Monday, Class 3 at our Dan y Coed School hosts a special "Bucket Time" session, also known as Attention Autism, where pupils come together to build key attention and social skills. This engaging approach is a hit with pupils from across the school, who love joining in.

CM has been honing her cooking skills recently, whipping up delicious meals in the home kitchen with the help of her sous chef support team! Not only did she create a fantastic meal, but she also made sure to leave the kitchen spotless for others to enjoy. Great work CM!

The Blaen Y Waun team pulled out all the stops for their Christmas party last week to celebrate another busy and successful year! With inflatables, gazebos, and plenty of games, the day was packed with fun, laughter, and festive cheer for both staff and residents to enjoy. 🎉🎄

Festivities were in full swing across our homes this Christmas, with each team enjoying their own special activities to gear up for the big day! At Tŷ Carreg, residents and staff came together for a cheerful sing-along, belting out all their favourite Christmas hits.

Before Winter Wonderland was packed away for another year, the Tŷ Bronllys team were keen to do a big team outing to the Cardiff attraction. Last week, the team headed down to the capital to enjoy some final festive fun around the wonderland Park with sweet treats and games!

BS kicked off 2025 with an exciting goal: visiting the St Fagans National Museum of History! Just over a week into the new year, he’s already made it happen! With support from his team, BS explored the beautiful grounds, discovering Welsh culture and history.

The pupils at Dan Y Coed School recently had the fantastic opportunity to join staff in learning vital life-saving skills through a Basic First Aid training session. A huge well done to everyone involved in mastering these essential skills!

BR has always been eager to visit London, and recently, he had the opportunity to tick off some iconic landmarks like Number 10, Kensington Gardens, and Buckingham Palace on a recent trip! He was especially fascinated by the King's Guards and their majestic horses!

BH didn't let the cold weather stop him from enjoying a lovely winter walk last week as he visited Roath Park with his support staff to feed the swans! It's fair to say the swans were very excited to see BH and were big fans of feeding time!

It was an exciting time at our Birchwood School this week as they welcomed a new pupil, MMS. MMS has made a wonderful start to his learning journey, already building friendships with fellow pupils while laughing and smiling throughout his lessons. Welcome MMS!
